The leader of a mercenary group, based in the capital city of Albion, Avalon. John has always been brash and strong. During his childhood, he befriended a kid named David. Eventually, the two of them created their own mercenary group and embarked on numerous adventures, taking on any kind of job along the way. Throughout his journey, he started adopting David's cool-headedness and stopped being so brash. However, the two had a falling out and ended up going their separate ways, never to see each other again. John was devastated, having lost his best friend.
At the age of 18, John saved Nidrawe and Sythet when they were 4 and 10 years old, respectively, as they were being hunted by a soldier. He took both of them under his care and started a new mercenary group to earn money to provide for them. Young Licht would be the next member to join the group after being rescued from his owners, who had trained the poor child in the art of assassination. The last two to join were Lana and Thea, orphaned after a monster destroyed their homes and killed their parents.
Now, aside from leading his own band, John also serves as a parental figure for everyone in his party. He loves all of them as if they were his own children and will not hold back against anyone who tries to harm them.
Skills
John specializes in dealing huge amounts of Physical Damage. The lower his HP, the more damage he unleashes against his enemies. Start the battle by using his Skill 2: Apex Predator to consume his HP and gain the powerful effect [Wounded Tiger], granting him Atk equal to a percentage of the HP consumed and allowing him to inflict up to 5 instances of [Tigris Rafflesia] on his foes. Focus on keeping his HP low to maximize his damage output, but don't get too cocky. If necessary, use his Skill 1: Scarlet Moon to bring his HP up, but be aware that doing this will consume all of his Blood Frenzy stacks. Utilize his Ultimate: Oblivion to consume the shields of every enemy and extend the duration of [Wounded Tiger], but before doing so make sure to inflict some [Tigris Rafflesia] instances in order to maximize his damage. John is a self-sufficient damage dealer capable of taking some hits, but he should not serve as the team's main tank or damage dealer. Use him if you want a character that does not require much team building or assistance, but be careful when managing his HP.
Personal Skill: Wounded Tiger: Unit does not heal from Spell Vamp, instead, unit generates a shield that nullifies damage less than or equal to a percentage of the damage dealt equal to 85% of unit’s Spell Vamp for 7 seconds. Boosts damage dealt by 20%. Grants bonus to unit’s Spd/Def equal to 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% of unit’s Atk. Unit deals 15% of unit’s Atk bonus Physical Damage on hit. Grants 10% Spell Vamp. Unit gains Blood Frenzy stacks in the following manners:
- Attacking or using a skill: Grants 5.
- Critical strikes: Grants 10.
- Taking damage: Grants a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 based on how much HP was lost (1 for each 1% of unit’s current HP that was reduced).
Boosts Crit Rate by a percentage equal to 20/25/30/35/40% of unit’s Blood Frenzy, Spell Vamp by a percentage equal to 12.5% of unit’s Blood Frenzy stacks, Crit Damage by a percentage equal to 15/20/20/25/25% of unit’s Blood Frenzy stacks and Healing and Shielding Effectiveness by a percentage equal to 15/20/25/30/35% of unit’s Blood Frenzy stacks.
Skill 1:
Passive: Unyielding Will: Boosts Atk by 5/7.5/10/12.5/15%. Boosts this Atk boost by a percentage equal to 100% of unit’s Blood Frenzy stacks. If unit’s HP < 100%, Scarlet Moon deals 15% of unit’s missing HP bonus Physical Damage on hit, which is increased by a percentage equal to 50% of the consumed Blood Frenzy stacks.
Active: Scarlet Moon: Consumes unit’s Blood Frenzy stacks to make a slash in a half moon radius that deals Physical Damage equal to a percentage of unit’s Atk equal to 90/140/170/210/250% of the consumed Blood Frenzy stacks and heal unit by 3.5% of unit’s Max HP + 10/15/20/25/30% of unit’s Atk per enemy hit. Healing is increased by percentage equal to 100% of the consumed Blood Frenzy stacks. This healing is not affected by unit’s Healing Effectiveness. 15/25/35/45/50% of this healing is converted into a shield for 10 seconds.
Skill 2: Apex Predator: Consumes 15% of unit’s Max HP + a percentage of unit’s Current HP equal to 15% + 10% of unit’s bonus Atk to deal Physical Damage equal to 145% of unit’s Atk + 10/15/20/25/30% of the consumed HP to the nearest enemy and grants [Wounded Tiger] for 10 seconds.
[Wounded Tiger]
Grants Atk equal to 5/6.5/7/8/10% of the HP consumed by Skill 2. Unit’s attacks and skills have a 40/40/45/45/50% chance to inflict [Tigris Rafflesia] on target for 3 seconds. Unit can inflict up to 5 instances of [Tigris Rafflesia]. Dealing damage to a foe inflicted with a [Tigris Rafflesia] boosts the damage of every instance of [Tigris Rafflesia] by 5% and has a 15% chance to reset the duration of all instances. Inflicting a new stack has a 30% chance to refresh the duration of all previous stacks.
[Tigris Rafflesia]
Deals Physical Damage equal to 25% of the damage dealt by the attack or skill that inflicted this instance every second. On the last second, the [Tigris Rafflesia] blooms and deals 50% increased damage, decreases foe’s Def by 15% for 5 seconds (does not stack, refreshes), and consumes 25% of their currently active shields and grants them to unit for 5 seconds.
Ultimate: Oblivion: Unit thrusts unit’s sword into the ground. After 1.2 seconds, the ground erupts, consuming 25% of unit’s Current HP and dealing Physical Damage equal to 100/200/250/300/500% of unit’s Atk + 20% of unit’s Missing HP to foes in a wide area, consuming all instances of [Tigris Rafflesia] and boosting damage by 15% for each consumed instance. If unit consumed at least 5 instances of [Tigris Rafflesia], resets the duration of [Wounded Tiger]. Grants a permanent shield that nullifies damage equal to 10% of unit’s Missing HP for each enemy hit. Consumes 35% of the current shield of all foes in the area and adds the consumed amount to unit’s shield. (This consumed amount only lasts 7 seconds). The durability of both shields are increased by 15% for each [Tigris Rafflesia] consumed.
